Getting Your Marriage License

Plan Ahead
To avoid surprises, review the
eligibility requirements
and important information about
changing your name
before you apply for your marriage license.
Make an Appointment
We encourage you to
make an appointment
to get your marriage license. You can also arrange for a
civil marriage ceremony
if desired.
Due to occupancy limitations, please do not arrive earlier than 20 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time.
Apply Online
Save time by completing the
application form online
before visiting our office. Your completed application is stored for up to 60 days.
Visit Our Office
To obtain a marriage license, you and your future spouse must appear together in-person at one of our
office locations
. You will need to complete the application form and present valid identification.
Acceptable forms of I.D. must provide photo and age verification. These include:
Driver's license
Passport
Military I.D.
Resident Alien Card
90-Day Validity
Marriage licenses are valid for 90 days from the date of issuance. If you do not get married within 90 days, the license becomes void and you must re-apply to purchase a new license.
